The Frisco Police Officers' Wives Association (FPOWA) is a charitable, social and supportive organization committed to the Frisco Police Officers, their families and the community they serve.

As Police Wives we experience emotions that other wives don't; we have fears that other wives don't; we deal with shift changes and periods of single parenting and cancelled vacations or postponed holiday celebrations. Our husbands are often stressed and go through many changes stemming from their careers. Although our officers receive multiple hours of training to do their jobs safely and effectively, very little time if any is spent educating them, their spouses, and families for emotional survival.

The Frisco Police Officers' Wives Association, launched in May of 2007, was formed to drive fund raising initiatives, offer educational seminars, workshops and various activities. Within our organization is a large group of caring women who know the difficulties of growing happy families and successful marriages in spite of the added pressures of being a police wife. You may have heard the quote, "There's no substitute for experience." Let's share our experience and encourage each other in our challenging yet rewarding roles. Our Website contains information and articles you may find helpful as well as an online forum where you can meet other FPOWA wives and make friends. The site will be ever-changing and evolving, so visit often.

The Frisco Police Officers' Wives Association is an organization with its own membership and leadership standards. Fund-raising events and donations will focus on supporting our officers in their equipment needs as well as the needs of the community in which they serve. In addition, net proceeds from dues paid and items sold will go to pay for training as well as workshops, seminars, meetings and to support our website and other operating costs. Dues are $30 annually with a one time $10 additional initiation fee for first year.
